The CDO, led by one Chief and one Deputy Chief, is divided into 9 units, which are responsible for police affairs, air defense intelligence, response to disasters, maintenance, alert system control, logistics, secretariat, personnel staff, and accounting and statistics respectively, and 5 sub-stations, and these 5 relay stations separately located in 5 mountains named as ShouShan, SihduShan, AliShan, HuoyanShan and JhzuihShan to serve the civil defense facilities of Taiwan.
